Next morning came in a blink and I got ready in casual clothes. It is very hot here in Rajasthan so I wore a loose white shirt, beige pants and slippers.

Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes. Thank you.โ โKya soch raha bhai.โ Raghav asked and put his hand on my shoulder. My gaze was still at the entrance waiting for her to show up one last time before I went away for forever. โShe won't come.โ He said softly and patted my shoulder. โI know she won't.โ I said with a sad smile. My eyes never leave the entrance. I know she is not coming, but I'm still waiting for her to come and meet me one last time. โThen why are you still waiting?โ He ran a hand through his hair, frustration mixing with concern. โMy heart is not listening to me.โ My eyes constantly flickered toward the entrance, searching for her familiar face amidst the sea of strangers. โVardaan, there's something you need to know,โ He began, his voice hesitant. โWhat?โ I said absentmindedly my eyes were still fixed on the entrance. โVardaan, listen to me. Lavanya... she's already engaged.โ โWhat?โ he whispered, the word barely escaping his lips. โWhy didn't she tell me?โ He asked, his voice thick with hurt. โI didn't know I got to know this from Kashvi.โ He sighed. โI guess I was a fool.โ I said quietly, more to myself than to Raghav. โThis is the final boarding call for passengers booked on flight 69B to California City. Please proceed to gate 3 immediately. The final checks are being completed and the captain will order for the doors of the aircraft to close in approximately five minutes time. I repeat.
